So we have officially been in California now for a year. Emry is almost 21 months now) and changing so much. She is talking like crazy now and not a little baby anymore. Well she will always be my baby of course! We are loving San Diego, there is so much to do here and we have had a lot of fun, but of course still miss Hawaii. Here are a few recent pics of Emry. We love her so much!

So I have been extremely lazy with blogging. It just feels like there is so much going on or I am to busy catching up with everyone else blogs I don't have time to do my own. It has been so long since I last blogged and there is so much to catch up on I just don't do it. So instead I am writing this short lame post to let you all know I am still alive and reading your blogs at least. I will post up some new pictures and let you all know what we've been up to once I get home from my trip to my Dad's.

Today was Emry's 1st birthday party. She doesn't turn one until Monday, but we had my mom fly in and my sister her kiddles and our sister in Law Kelly and her kiddles and Aunt Lysa here this weekend. It was so much fun and crazy all at the same time. I am exhausted so will post more with pictures later, but I just can't believe our little girly in one year old. Time has gone by so fast and she has changed so much in one year it is amazing. She is everything to us and we love her so much and so lucky that we had family to celebrate her first birthday with us.

10 Months!

Emry is 10 months old!! You have changed so much in the past 2 months. These are the new things you've gotten to do and the new things you are doing now:

-You love to talk and u really try to get us to understand!
-Can wave and say hi when asked to and it's soooo cute
-Can clap when people say "Ya Emry" or just when we ask you to clap!!
-Have to dance whenever music comes on, even if its a commercial
-Love to walk holding my fingers
-You hold on to things and pull yourself up
-Cruise along tables and couches
-Like to say Quack when you see anything yellow or when you see a duck
-You recognize where noses are on mommys and daddys face.
-Love to watch and play with other kids
-You practice the letter F sound especially when you see flowers
-You love to play peekaboo behind tupaware lids and underblankets
-You love to find mommy and daddy when they hide from you
-You went to Disneyland for your first time with Papa and Bama and Aunt Hezzy, and
Aunt Lys and Katelyn and Kimball. You loved the whinne the Pooh, buzz lightyear,
and it's a small world rides. You met your first character (Woody from Toy Story)
and litterally tried to crawl up my arm and face to get away!
-We go to the San Diego zoo quite a bit because you love looking at the animals and
the petting zoo.
-Went to your first pumpkin patch and loved playing on the pumpkins and
trying to eat their stems.
-Eating chunkier foods now, and pretty much love everything you
eat.
-You still love puffs and now the cheese puff sticks
-You are such a happy baby still
-You give hugs some times which is so sweet
-You got your 5th tooth
-You are already starting to wear 12 month clothing
-You are starting to show your feelings when you are frustrated or need help with
something. You throw the cutest little 5 sec fits by throwing your head back which
makes me want to kiss you and then that just makes you madder!
-You play shy around people you don't know.
-People still comment on how pretty your eyes are and how beautiful you are. They
usually wave at you and you wave back once they turn around or leave the room!
-You can stack your bath toys
-You like to help put things away like your toys when you are done playing
-You still will eat anything off the floor you can get your hands on
-You love to point at things
-You love to look at planes when you hear them fly over the house.
-You love to feed yourself
-You almost always need a bath after you are done eating!
-You are ticklish but are so hard to get to laugh! But when you do it is very sweet
-You always make mommy and daddy smile. You makes us very happy
-You love to watch Aunt Lys go up and down the stairs and you always smile at her
whenever you see her
-You love to be put upside down
-Grandma came down and took you to the Zoo
-You love to drink out of sippy cups, and tip you're head back. It's so cute to see
you act like a big kid when you are still so little

You are just getting so big, it is hard to believe in 2 months you will be a year old. Mommy and Daddy love you very much and since you were born you've made us smile every day. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You are such a loving, happy little baby. You are picking up and mimicking things more and more and you just are becoming such a big girl. We love you will all our hearts and are so greatful everyday that we have you in our lives.

Pumpkin Hunting

It's OCTOBER!! Finally we are experiencing a change in temperature and season, hot chocolate, apple pies, holidays, it is very exciting! So we couldn't wait, the first weekend of this month we had to go pumpkin hunting. This is Emrys first Halloween and so we took her to her first pumpkin patch. We went to Bates Nut Farm. It was so much fun, they had a little farm with different animals and she loved looking at them all. She also loved all the pumpkins, and wanted to sit on them, hug them and eat the stems. It was so much fun to watch her. The size of these pumpkins were crazy though. Ezra ended up picking a pumpkin that was 123 pounds, (it is pretty awesome). We also got a couple of regular size pumpkins and Emry got a baby pumpkin which is the one she's hugging while she's sleeping. It was a great day and we can't wait for Halloween night! We haven't totally decided on her costume yet, she is going to either be a monkey (since she is our little monkey), or she is going to be Tinker Bell. Babies R Us also has a really cute pumpkin patch costume. We shall see, we will post pictures when we decide. LOVE MY FAMILY! We really had a great weekend

Missing Hawaii!

So I have to say first of all I am so glad that some of you guys have post in Hawaii. It is so good to see your familys growing up and getting to see what you guys are up to being so far away. BUT!! It really makes me miss Hawaii so much more to see everything you guys are doing and how pretty it is there. You really are so lucky to be in Hawaii and it be your home. I really am missing Hawaii A LOT and all the people. We are loving being close to family here and getting to experience something new. There is so much to do in San Diego and I just need to get out and start exploring San Diego more I know!! But I don't know if there is any place like Hawaii. We miss EVERYONE and the Islands!!

8 Months!

Emry- We have no idea were the last 8 months have gone. Everything has been such an adventure and you are changing so much so quickly. You will be 8 months tomorrow, and you are growing so fast. Mommy and Daddy love you so much and we are so lucky you are in our lives. You make us smile and laugh everyday with all the cute little things that you do. Life is so complete with you in our lives and we are so thankful for you everyday! We love every tear, dirty diaper, giggle, smile, squeak, pinch, leg kick, snuggle, and face you make. Some of the things you are doing now: You are starting to finally crawl, well it's more like a scoot on your face, but it is an attempt to get somewhere with out any help! You love to wave quite a bit, even at people when they're not looking. Your favorite foods so far are carrots, green beans, peas, pears, bananas, and blueberries. You've also started to eat Gerber Puffs, which you absolutely love because you can feed then to yourself. You are very curious about the world around you and such a lookie Lou still. You love to watch everyone who walks by you with such intent like you are determined to figure out what they are doing, where they are going and how they can walk on those two things (legs)! You love love bath time still, and would probably stay in there all day if you could. You still only have two teeth which I you've had since 5 months old. You love to read books especially the ones that you can feel whats on the page. You are figuring out how to pick things up with your pointer finger and thumb and it is very cute. You love to talk and make sounds that are very sweet. You have said mama and dada but not intentionally! You love to snuggle when you're tired, and in bed in the morning with mommy, and you always like to be held. You are so sweet, and such a beautiful little girl. You are independent but love to have everyone around you. People always compliment you on your beautiful blue eyes, and that they think you are such a good baby. You are very easy going, and calm. You don't fuss much, really only when you are tired, and sometimes when you're hungry. You really are such a good baby. You have your stinker moments, but they are far and few in between! You are a perfect mix of me and your daddy, in personality, but you definitely look like your daddy. We hear it all the time! We are so excited to see what the rest of the year brings us, and all the things you will be doing by 12 months. You are an amazing, beautiful, sweet, loving, precious little angel. WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!! Happy 8 month B-Day!

New Things!

Emry is almost 5 months now, and there have been all kinds of new things she is up to. She is rolling both ways now, for awhile she would only role to her right but now she is just a little mover. She got her FIRST TOOTH last week!! which explains why she is chewing on everything, even Smokey! We think she is ready to start solids since she loves watching us eat. Between her and Smokey it is hard to eat a meal without feeling guilty. She has always been very interested in everything around her, such a lookie lou, but now she wants to grab everything she can get her hands on so now we really have to watch what she is up to. We went out to dinner the other night and silverware, glasses, plates, food, table clothes and napkins were very interesting to Emry. She still talks, or coos, like crazy especially to her daddy. She has found her toes and things they are the most amazing things. She plays and sucks on them whenever she can. In the bathtub in the morning when she wakes up, and when ever she remembers they are attached to her body. We love her smiles and her giggles, she always makes us so happy. We love her so much and can't wait for whats next!

We have had some visitors these past couple of weeks, so I thought I would post some pictures of what our little girly has been up to. She has been hiking, to the beach, Waikiki, Waimea Valley, beach vacation house, Pali Lookout, and lots more and she doesn't even know it! She is one lucky girl. We are luckier parents though! She has had a busy 4 months to say the least. She is growing and changing so fast, we are just loven every minute of it! She is our little angel.

2 Months

Emry is 2 months old, time has gone by so fast!! We finally got some proffesional pictures taken of her and I will post those as soon as we get them back, but until then here are some pictures of her over the past 2 months. Emry is starting to smile back at us know and trying to laugh which is so much fun. She has always made the cutest sounds since she was born and now she is trying to "talk" to us and they are the sweetest little vowl sounds. She has found her thumb which I don't know if that is a bad thing or a good thing! We love her so much, but still are waiting for her parents to come and pick her up, I am sure they miss her by now. Its hard to believe still that she is here and that she is ours, and at the same time it doesn't feel like we tried for as long as we did for her, it's like we've forgotten everything that we went through to get to this point. Our little girl is finally here!! Emry was born on Dec. 6th at 10:16 am. Her original due date was November 25th, so we were induced on the 5th at 6pm. Here are just a few pictures we have of her and us together, I will be posting more, but for my famly and friends I had to show you these chubby cheeks. She was born 8 pounds 10ounces of cheeks and little buns. She is growing so fast already and time is flying by, it is hard to believe she is already almost a week old. We love her so much and just can't help but stare at her all day, give her kisses, and eat her little cheeks. We are getting a few nibbles in there for Auntie Hezzy as well!

Here are my pregnancy photos that some of you have asked to see. We will be 38 weeks this Wednesday! We are expecting her anytime here. CRAZY!! As some of you know we have waited very long for this little one and we are so excited and so nervous to be apart of her life. You would think after all these years we would be ready to be a momma and dadda, but suprise we're not. Who ever is though with having a baby, I think they should come with little instruction books specific to how each one works! We can't wait though to just hold her and love her. We really understand how much of a blessing it is to beable to have a little one of our own and we just can't wait to see her and love her. We also want to thank everyone who has been apart of this journey to this point with us you have been such a support to us espeically me. Finally!!

So I know I have been horrible at blogging this year. There has been so much that has happened since last time I've blogged. Ezra made CHIEF!!! I know that probably means nothing to almost everyone who reads this but it is a huge deal for Ezra. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. Afte he made Chief he had a 6 week initiation process and then he was pinned officially as a Chief. We had so much fun this past year with everyone who visited, Aunt Lorna, Keddie and Andy, Mims and Kade, Tami and Scott, Lyssa, Vicki, Mom and Dad Harn, Dad and Chris. I also got to go to Maui and visit my Mom and Dennis for a day which was really nice. We seriously had such a blast with everyone this summer and I will put up a few pictures from those trips. I started this new program for school, MLT (Medical Lab Techonologist)which basically means doing lab work and getting doctors results from any type of lab work you can imgaine to have done. It has been really fun just a lot of work. And last but definitely not least WE ARE HAVING A BABY!! So I know that everyone pretty much knows by now, but I truthfully haven't been very good about telling people. It has been such a worldwind for me and Ezra we hardly can believe it is really happening.For those who didn't know we were pregnant, we are sorry we haven't passed the word, we waited until we were almost 6 months before both sides of our family even knew. We are still in shock and she will be here in no time at all. I will write blogs on all these things individually I just wanted to finally up date people and let you know that we are alive and what we've been up to.

CHRISTMAS 09

This Christmas me and Ezra were able to go visit my family TOGETHER!! This is the first Christmas and Thanksgiving Ezra and I were able to spend together since we moved to Hawaii, we have been here for 3 years now. It is amazing how fast time flys. We had such a good time at home just hanging out with family and playing in the snow. Heather and her family came and we all stayed at my Dads and then we went up to Cassy's and stayed for a few days at their house. I think we have been going to Cassy's and staying Christmas Eve for years now, we are so thankful they let us stay and watch their kiddles open presents. Not having little ones of our own to open presents on Christmas kind of sucks so they have always let us be there to watch them and their kiddles and we love them so much for always taking us in!! Smokey stayed at one of Ezra's friends, we were so lucky because he took such good care of him and spoiled him. I don't think Smokey really wanted to come home after that, but we missed him to much to let him stay anymore over there. We didn't get to see my Mom this Christmas and we miss her very much. We hope everyone had wonderful holidays and we are looking forward to seeing everyone who is coming to visit this year!! That last Post really worked!!

COME VISIT!!

So Ezra and I were talking last night and we decided that not enough people come visit us. We live in Hawaii for craps sake and we still can't get people to come see us. You can have a free place to stay, and transportation and even a tour guide (or not)! There is clearly so much to do here that you couldn't even do it all in one trip if you tried, and you could even come and just sit on the beach if that is all you wanted to do. It would be so much fun and we would love to have you here!! We just miss our family and friends and want to see them more often. We know how hard it is to fly these days and the expense is ridiculous, I will have flown 5 times this year by December, and I know how tough it is especially when some of you guys have 4-6 in your family's. We just don't want anyone to think that they aren't invited to come visit! Come take advantage of us in Hawaii, it's okay!! We love you either way, but we would love to see more of our family and friends!

Frog Hunting and Water Pumps

One thing I mentioned that we did in Missouri on this trip was FROG HUNTING!! Ezra's family has 3 ponds on their property, they are full of fish, snapping turtles, and FROGS!! Many of you know my issue with frogs, slimy, jumping, living frogs. Well I finally got revenge on all the years of torture. I know that this wont end their tortures ways but I at least got rid of a few in this world that wont be able to haunt me! Okay that sounds crazy. Ezra actually did most of the frog hunting since I had a hard time just looking at them, and then to have to stare at them through the scope until I could get steady enough to shoot was way to much for me! I did get a few though. Here's some pictures.

Missouri Trip

Ezra hasn't been home for almost 4 years, and we weren't sure when we would get back out there since we never know when he is going to be home. So we decided to go for 2 weeks to visit his family in Missouri. We had such a good time, it was really nice for us just to spend some time together playing and hanging out since he hasn't been home for at least 9 months in the past year. We got to do so much in just two weeks it made the time fly by. We went to a Cardinals game and hung out in St. Louis with his brother and his girlfriend, fiance we might as well say!! Then we had a few family BBQ's so we could see everyone, which was a lot of fun. They are all so close to each other both sides of the family, it made me miss my family so much, I wish we all lived that close together and could do family BBQ's. Then his parents took us to the Mark Twain caves, if any of you have read the Tom Swayer Books you know what I am talking about. It was cool to see where he actually came up with all the cave storys for his book. Then we went to Nauvoo, and we went frong hunting, and they took me to a Red Neck Wedding, for real!! We I also experienced my first Tornado Warning. It was scary to say the least. I have never seen a storm like I did that night. They had flooding the next day and so we visited on of the dams that almost gave out because there was to much water.
One of the coolest things about Missouri though are the Fireflys, they were so amazing to see at night. Every night there were just thousands of these flashing lights, it was so pretty, I wish my Mom could of seen them. We also got to meet our new niece and also spend the week with Braden. Braden is our 6 yr old Nephew that we haven't seen since he was just a year old. It was so much fun to spend time with him, we had so much fun with him.
We had such a good time just hanging out on their farm and seeing everyone.

Hidden Beach

There is one corner of the island that you can't drive on because there are no roads. It is where Waiana meets Wailua. The only way to get around this point of the island is to either hike or four wheel out there and even then you can only four wheel so far. So the other weekend we decided we would four wheel out there and hike back in because we had heard of this beach called "Hidden Beach", got its name for obvious reasons. So we don't know if we actually ever found it but we did find this beach and hung out there for the day, it was so pretty and just me, Ezra and Smokey which was neat. Snorkeling is supposed to be amazing when the waves are down, and even though they didn't look very big in these pictures it was pretty rough. For those who are familiar with the islands there is a picture of Ezra on a rock and behind him you can see the island come out to a point, that would be the point you drive around to our house past Haleiwa and Waimea. We are definitely spoiled and blessed that we get to live in Hawaii.

Lazy Puppy

So Smokey has started to do this cute deal while we are eating. He gets tired of looking at us and begging so he rests his head now on the table or on our knees and just watches us until we either give in and feed him or he figures out that we aren't going to give him our food. He loves to sleep on the coffee table because it is much cooler on there, but the other day we had placed his food on the table so we could vacum or something, and next thing we knew he was lying on the table eating his food (He always lays down when he eats no matter what). It was just really cute with his head all the way in the bowl and laying with his little legs kicked out to the side.

4th of July Week

We had visitors for the week of the 4th of July. My Aunt, Cousine and their friends came and stayed with us for about 10 days! We got to go kayaking at Lanikai, and bonfiring at Bellows, and got to do this little tour deal which I highly recommend! On the 4th of July we went to Bayfest. Bayfest is a deal they put on for the military at the Kaneohe Marine Core Base where Ezra works. We got to see Little Big Town who sings one of my favorite country songs "Bring it on home", and Rodney Atkins who was awesome! Then a huge fireworks show was shot right over your heads on the ocean. It was awesome! We always have so much fun when people come visit us, wish more people could come visit us!

Seal

We take Smokey walking on the beach across from our house everyday. Yesterday when we were taking our walk we noticed a little further away from us what looked like a big log. We get sticks and stuff on the beach but not usually a log the size that we were seeing. As we got closer it moved and we realized it wasn't a log, it was a seal. We have had turtles and seals on the beach across from our house before but I never have my camera with me, so I ran back home and Ezra got a good video and picture of of it. Smokey got all excited when we walked past the seal, and the seal snorted really loud at Smokey, it freaked him out!!

07-08 LADY SEASIDERS!!

I thought I would post some pictures of my girls from this last season, since Crys finally sent me a few! I pretty much spend 24-7 with them for 8 months, so when ever people are wondering what I am doing this is usually who I am with. My team this last year was such a blast, they were such a good group of girls. I don't miss them, don't get me wrong, J/K! There are however a few incrminating photos in this slideshow. When we were on our mainland trip we stayed in this really nice hotel, and I had to share my room with two of my girls. They had their own room in our room, and I had mine, but man did we have fun. One night, the first night there, we decided to play a prank on the team, and long story short we dressed up from head to toe because it was so stinken cold, not thinking we would look like 3 boys who were trying to break into the hotel rooms, (thanks Les's room!!). After finishing the entire prank, hours of work, and on our way to our room we were caught and threatened to be arrestted, Jackson (the head coach) thought our prank was anything but funny. Man it was a good prank though and it will go down in the books! No matter how much I complain this is one thing I love about coaching. Getting to see these girls grow into independent women! I am going to miss Crys, Les and Meg, love you guys!

Mistys Wedding

Since being back on the islands I have been back in touch with some friends from college. Misty just got married at Waimea Valley. It was such a beautiful location and she was so gorgeous as always. Juanita was there as well, I played softball in college with Nita, and now she is married and a momma. It has been so nice to have these girls back in my life.

As some of you know, Ezra was back for a little over a month before he was redeployed. Unbelievable I know but that is the military for you. I am just now getting these pictures up from his last deployment and he has left for another one. These are just a few pictures of some of the things he got to see at some of their ports no their last 6 month deployment. They stopped at place as Singapore, Malaysia, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, Guadila Canal, Philippines, Guam, and I know there were some other places. He took monkey tours, and got to see all kinds of buddihst temples, and even the Tongan LDS Temple. They were also able to do some community service work for many of the islands. He really made the most of his time when they ported to go out and see things he will probably never get to see again.

So Ezra has been back for 2 weeks now. It has been so nice, we missed him so much. Ezra had to start going back to work shortly after he got home and Smokey was not having it. The first day he left it was so sad, I think he thought Ezra left again for good. This is what he looks like when Ezra leaves for work.

When Ezra is home, Smokey has to do everything Ezra does. When Ezra sleeps Smokey sleeps, when he's awake Smokey is awake, when Ezra wants to play Smokey wants to play when. It is really pretty ridiculous these two. Here they are napping, and yes that is Smokey on our coffee table!

Smokeys Wild Adventures!!

So I have been busy busy busy lately with softball and getting ready for Ezra to get home. I don't have any pictures to add and I feel like because I don't have any pictures that I shouldn't post anything. But I guess I am getting over that! Anyhow Ezra is coming home in less then a month now. He will have been gone for a total of 6 months. These deployments never seem to get easier to be honest. I just always miss him no matter how long we have been married. Smokey has had some crazy adventures lately and I am just hoping I can keep this dog safe until Ezra gets back. Most of you know that he loves to run away. Well he escaped from our softball field the other day and ended up hanging out with the schools vice president as well as The Chinese Vice Minister of Ministry of Education, Ms. Wu Qidi. Basically the head of Higher Education of all of China, someone up there in the ranks. The guy I coach with saw Smokey go into the room where they were meeting. I guess everyone was shocked at first because here is this important visitor from China who is really important to the school and our reputation in China and then there is this fluffy fur ball dog who knowing my dog is probably humping her leg with his tounge hanging out of his mouth sideways!! (I should have a picture of that somewhere). Well I guess she loved Smokey though and they ended up taking a picture of Smokey with her, I am still trying to track that picture down and trust me I will post it!! This dog will be the end of me I sware. I love him to much is the problem!!

Thanksgiving Trip

So I picked up and went home for Thanksgiving. I flew into LA and drove up with Hezz and her family to my moms. My mom just moved to St. George, Ut which is about an hour out of Vegas. It was really nice getting to spend Thanksgiving with family. It was the first time I got to meet Kate and it was so fun to get to play with Kimball. I love those kiddles, and my family.

Vickis Visit

Ezras Deployment

Ezra has been deployed for over 3 months now. We are half way there!! These are some pictures of the ship he is on and some things they have been doing since they left. I think they have to much time on their hands. He has gotten to stop in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philipines so far.

Big Island

Ezra has left again. He was deployed in August, luckly right after our anniversary. So as a suprise, Ezra planned a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii for our 7 yr anniversary. It was a much needed trip alone, and we truly couldn't of asked for a better time together. We want to go back again when he comes home, we really loved the Big Island. There are things that we love about there and here on Oahu. They really are like two totally different places.

Crazy Summer!

So we had an amazing summer. Between our friends here on the islands and all our visitors, we had so many adventures. We were able to do things we both have never done on the islands, which was fun. Here are a few pictures of some of the things we got to do. Hope you enjoy, we really did!!
